Bitcoin ETF .. do we really need it?

The SEC determined to postpone a choice on the Bitcoin ETF for 45 days. The crypto neighborhood didn’t take this information nicely, with the market dipping virtually 10% as a response. On this video I ask a vital query.. do we even need the Bitcoin ETF.

  2. Yes…still surviving. If you are going to goback to basics, is there anywhere where you can find out about all the token swaps. I find myself holding various coins and my time is short to keep up with things. it would be great if someone had a site that showed all the upcoming token swaps to main net. Yes I am on social media but like i said i have very limited time an overview would be great. Thanks for sharing

  3. Great video—thanks as always, Michael!

  4. I woudln't say so fast that we "survived" the bear market since it clearly isn't over yet.

  5. Great motivational video. Thanks a lot!

  6. KOMODO has all that zksnakrs and atomic swaps and much much more. we need a review on it

  7. Crypto fans: "this is decentralised money, we don't need banks, we don't need government, fiat is worthless…"

    A moment later

"No ETF? It's all over, the banks can't buy BTC"

  8. you are right about paper gold not being gold.

  9. Been around the space for awhile. This is deja vu. Kinda like when I went against the crowd during the Jed McCaleb/Ripple Corp. debacle and scooped up a buttload of XRP at 2.4 cents! Honestly, I love it when the crypto space is in the doldrums. It's a bonanza of bargains for those who prepared for this… In short, "This too, shall pass." Take advantage of it! Namaste, JaiChai (

  10. Great post, I completely agree patience is the key.

  11. ETF would give more exposure to Cryptocurrencies and make people more interested in studying how Cryptocurrencies work

  12. Normal people that they don‘t invest any assets, don‘t know what etf is! But it is actually good for all of us because all these good projects will be much more interesting with btc etf!

  13. I came into this at the end of May- I'm glad I did because I see how easy it is to fall into the hype and not the tech.

  14. So…. bitcoin…. Freedom from the governments…. yeah!!!!! Oh but please say we are O.K……… ehhh all they need to do is see that tether is tether… keep the cash in an account… bitcoin being the gateway to true unlimited potential of technology…. blockchain…. ehhhhh …. A.I……… yes that is blockchain……. and those with the key… bitcoin…. cabbage…..

  15. There is other uses… but the biggest… A.I…. well in my thoughts… yes the entirety of the nets… should be decentralised… well … let’s see how slow the worlds hamsters run on the wheels in their brains…. maybe if Facebook doesn’t fry em.. it really is just time…

  16. wow, you going big man… try to review some ICOs, Talk about ORCA.They reached hardcap only in 50hrs

  17. beg to disagree. ETF would mean large investment funds entering the market, but for them to get into it, SEC would need to be assured there is no market manipulation. As most of exchanges are outside of the US, and/or are unregulated, there is no guarantee there is no market spoofing, wash trading and spying on private stop loss orders on long/short leverages. To have that, SEC would approve it only after being sure there is no market manipulation.. they will be sure regarding it only after NYSE starts its own cryptocurrency exchange, which will happen in November. ETFs will follow after that.
I could also take a deep dive into statement of 'good money' and 'pyramid scheme', but that would take much longer.. in general, I would disagree with it

  18. Michael, I don't know anybody who is selling their crypto, they're all Hodling. So who really is destroying the crypto markets? It's not a bit of bad news. It smacks of Wall St & the futures market. These guys are not selling for best price. They are smashing the market hard in order to kill it. Crypto currencies are not like normal currency markets where governments & reserve banks keep an eye on things. If the volume is low it gets forced down. This seems far too intentional & vicious to be a bit of fud.

  19. well explained as always, Box Mining is the man! 🙂

  20. Thanks Michale. Bit relieved to listen to you.

  21. The whole crypto space is an emotional rollercoaster

  22. Smashed the like. We need to go to zero to get rid off the speculators 😉 . On the other hand we need a speculative market to add some value to store en restore fiat money from financial institutions decentralized.

  23. ETF = regulations. We all know that governments dont like BTC. So why should peoples get stressed out about it.

  24. Stop focusing on the price people!!

  25. We don't really need futures n etf, we need mass adoption by general public.

  26. Really liked this vid and ur last. I needed the pep talk! Thank you!

  27. ETF would have been an added advantage

  28. Indeed, the news of the postponement of the ETF hearing is leading the market to the bottom, which is a very bad indicator for the entire crypto market. With such an approach it is very difficult to understand what awaits us in the future, but one thing is for sure: kriptornok is very manipulative, which in turn is a big barrier. Thanks to for introducing me to this awesome channel!

  29. Bitcoin does not need any ETF!Bitcoin is unbeatable!

  30. You were one of the first crypto guys I started watching on YouTube and this video reminded why I started watching you! Educational vids, and not shilling bullshit! Thanks

  31. gold bar picture (1:52) taken in rothschild basement..

  32. ETFs would increase adoption thats what we need. Ease of use for the underlying technologies so that they get adopted into the mainstream is needed but a longer way to the target, Solving problems/fustrations like apple did with their PC and iphones and a wall street investment vehicle, One trillion dollars….bbwahaha

  33. well his channel exploded , 1 year ago he was on 20k now 200k followers–seems hes one of the biggest winners. Congratulations. Would be interesting if youtube or steemit is giving him better payouts at this point

  34. yes, this ETF is there for them to control the reign on BTC and nothing else !!

  35. My main concern with Bitcoin is the vast concentration of ASICs power by very few players. Decentralization is then lost and the whole network becomes vulnerable. Because of this reason I like Ethereum moving to PoS. But what’s Bitcoin doing to protect itself this?

  36. Have you seen the bitcoinR3 airdrop, I’m signed up!

  40. Thanks for the vid Michael! I agree with you fully

  41. Sometimes etf are good for people who like to diversify their investments and retirement.

  42. I don´t think bitcoin needs an ETF, it may take longer to recover without it but we really don´t want Wall Street setting the terms for Bitcoin forever that is not what bitcoin stands for.

  43. Technically you're right that we don't need an ETF, because Bitcoin will survive with or without one. However, I think an ETF approved by the SEC would elevate Bitcoin's image to a whole new level of legitimacy that would bring in a lot of newcomers to the crypto space. In addition to that, it will open up the floodgates from institutional investment firms as they would be able to offer exposure to Bitcoin without their clients having to worry about safely storing their coins or managing private keys, etc. This would cause significant upward price action on Bitcoin itself from both of these factors.

  44. The greater the exposure and audience, the greater the bag holders. Rip the next bag holders

  45. Dude, why are you trying always to seed more positive idiots. This thing is dead for at least one year. NO rallye – nothing in 2018
